Future Force is a tech-for-good community and social impact startup accelerator. We connect purpose-driven people with projects, tools, and a supportive network to help launch and grow social benefit startups.

We empower startups and individuals by providing mentorship, technical expertise, co-founders, workshops, and investor access. We also run open projects, support community-led innovation, and develop tools like Opportunity Miner to help identify startup ideas with real-world impact.

You can attend an event, join an open project, volunteer as a mentor or team member, or become a supporting member. Start by filling out a form or browsing our open projects and startups.

We are based in Seattle, with events often held at Startup Hall at the University of Washington. Many of our programs and tools are available online to support a broader community.

While we are starting here for now, we plan to make Future Force hubs across the country.

TERMS AND CONDITIONS

Tango Technologies LLC d/b/a Future Force

1. Acceptance of Terms

These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) constitute a legally binding agreement between you (“you,” “user,” or “participant”) and Tango Technologies LLC, a Washington limited liability company, doing business as Future Force (“Future Force,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). By accessing or using any of our websites, digital platforms, events, workshops, or services (collectively, the “Services”), you agree to comply with and be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree with these Terms, you may not access or use the Services.

These Terms apply globally to all individuals and entities interacting with the Future Force program, including but not limited to startup founders, mentors, volunteers, investors, advisors, and youth participants.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old to participate in most Future Force activities. Minors under the age of 18 may only participate with verifiable consent from a parent or legal guardian.

By using the Services, you represent that you meet the eligibility requirements and agree to provide accurate and complete information about yourself as requested.

3. Code of Conduct

All participants are expected to uphold a respectful and inclusive environment. Prohibited conduct includes, but is not limited to:

• Harassment, discrimination, or abuse of any kind

• Submission of false or misleading information

• Disruptive behavior during events or on digital platforms

• Unauthorized commercial activity or solicitation

We reserve the right to suspend or permanently ban any user for any violation of these Terms or for any behavior deemed inappropriate by Future Force. Future Force does not discriminate on the basis of race, religion, gender, gender identity, sexual orientation, disability, age, or any other protected class.

4. Participation in Programs and Events

Future Force organizes and facilitates both free and paid programs, including but not limited to:

• Networking events

• Workshops and training

• Innovation projects and sprints

• Startup support programs

• Youth-focused initiatives

Participation in any Future Force program may be subject to additional participation agreements, terms, or requirements. We reserve the right to accept or deny any application or request to participate for any reason.

5. Intellectual Property (IP)

Unless otherwise stated in a separate written agreement:

• All content, inventions, innovations, presentations, software, documentation, and other materials created, submitted, or developed as part of participation in Future Force programs shall be the sole property of Tango Technologies LLC d/b/a Future Force (“Future Force IP”).

• Participants may not claim ownership of Future Force IP, except as explicitly permitted.

• Startups that are formally supported through our accelerator or other business development programs shall retain their own intellectual property, subject to separate participation or investment agreements, including but not limited to SAFEs, warrants, or other customary instruments.

• Any ideas, submissions, or suggestions provided to Future Force without a preexisting agreement may be used or commercialized by us without obligation of compensation, credit, or notice.

6. User Content & Submissions

You may have opportunities to upload or submit materials, including but not limited to resumes, business concepts, feedback, media, and technical documents (“User Content”). By submitting such content, you grant Future Force a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide license to use, reproduce, modify, distribute, and publicly display such content in connection with its mission and Services, including for promotional and research purposes.

We reserve the right to moderate, remove, or refuse to publish any User Content at our sole discretion.

7. Compensation and Volunteer Contributions

Future Force currently operates on a volunteer-based model. Mentors, advisors, and other contributors should not expect compensation unless explicitly agreed to in writing. As Future Force develops revenue streams, we may provide stipends, honoraria, or other forms of compensation at our sole discretion and subject to funding availability.

8. Data Collection & Privacy

By using our Services, you consent to our collection, use, and limited sharing of your personal data. This includes but is not limited to:

• Contact information (e.g., email, phone)

• Professional data (e.g., resumes, LinkedIn profiles)

• Participation records and engagement metrics

• Feedback and survey responses

We may use cookies and tracking technologies to analyze usage and improve our offerings. Personal data may be shared with internal staff, trusted collaborators, or funders under confidentiality obligations, but we will not sell your data.

9. Fees, Payments, and Investment Instruments

Certain programs, particularly those designed for startups, may require payment of participation fees. All fees are disclosed in advance and are non-refundable unless otherwise stated.

Future Force may enter into investment-related agreements with startups or projects, including but not limited to:

• Simple Agreements for Future Equity (SAFEs)

• Warrants

• Revenue-sharing agreements

• Early-access agreements with investors and partners

Future Force may offer preferential access or benefits to select partners or funders in alignment with its social mission.

10. Disclaimers and Limitation of Liability

All Services are provided “as is” and without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Future Force disclaims all warranties, including:

• Any guarantee of business, financial, or employment outcomes

• Any guarantee of safety or success of ideas developed through the program

• Any liability for actions taken by third parties or fellow participants

Future Force does not provide legal, tax, or financial advice. You are solely responsible for your actions and decisions based on your participation.

11. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access to any or all Services at our sole discretion, with or without cause and without notice. Grounds for termination include but are not limited to:

• Breach of these Terms

• Behavior that harms or disrupts the community

• Legal or regulatory violations

12. Dispute Resolution

We encourage all users to resolve conflicts amicably through open dialogue. Future Force does not currently offer formal arbitration, legal support, or insurance coverage.

These Terms shall be governed by the laws of the State of Washington, without regard to its conflict of law principles. Any disputes arising from or relating to these Terms shall be brought exclusively in the state or federal courts located in King County, Washington.

13. Modifications

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Updated versions will be posted on our website with a revised effective date. Your continued use of the Services after any changes constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.
